The Lands Title building sits amidst dirt lots. Modestly institutional, an office where place was transformed into a location; then turned out and exchanged for abstracts. It is from where entitlement is playing out. When do our notions of land and ownership break down? what weight of substance can Land's Titles be buried? Under what it gave away? Are we able to re-imagine what value is? What if title meant something else? What if title was a relationship, not a commodity. --- In hoping not for what was, as it was in another way; an intervention intended to ask what to be (en)titled means. |
